Transforming Agriculture Across Borders - Our 2024 Impact Story
What a year it was! 2024 was a chapter of bold expansion, transformative partnerships, and record-breaking impact for us at ThriveAgric. In the midst of uncertain economic realities, cross-boarder contingencies and global shifts, we pushed boundaries, shattered goals, and, most importantly, deepened our commitment to empowering Africa's smallholder farmers. We are thrilled to share the highlights of a year defined by monumental growth, culminating in our 2024 Impact Report.
During the year in review, our farmer network grew to over 1,000,000 farmers, with women and youth making up 30% and 35% respectively. Together, we produced an incredible 1.7 million metric tonnes of grain, a testament to the hard work of our farmers and the strength of our shared ecosystem.
Expanding Our Footprint Across the Continent
Our vision has always been pan-African, and in 2024, we took giant leaps to make that a reality. We laid the groundwork for expansion into Uganda and Tanzania and significantly deepened our presence in East Africa by expanding our Kenyan operations through a pivotal partnership with Visa.
In West Africa, we celebrated the official launch of our Ghana office and strengthened our support for local agribusinesses. This expansion is about more than just geography; it's about connecting more farmers to the resources, data, and markets they need to thrive.
The Power of Strategic Partnerships
We know that we can't achieve our mission alone. 2024 was marked by powerful collaborations that amplified our impact exponentially. We joined forces with Mercy Corps and Heifer International to empower over 140,000 farmers in Nigeria and partnered with Acorn Rabobank to integrate 30,000 smallholders into the carbon market by planting over 3 million trees.
These alliances, alongside further partnerships with JICA, AGRA, CFYE and others, are crucial in building a resilient and sustainable agricultural future for the continent.
Building for the Future: Infrastructure and Innovation
Beyond partnerships, we invested heavily in the physical and digital infrastructure necessary for long-term success. We commissioned six one-stop agricultural service hubs in North East Nigeria and launched a state-of-the-art grain cleaning and rice milling facility in Gombe State.
On the innovation front, our climate-smart production campaign successfully trained 60% of our farmers in sustainable practices, while our Tech Talent Accelerated Program (TAP) 2.0 graduated a new cohort of young people ready for agri-digital careers.
Global Recognition and Acknowledgment
Our work and the incredible efforts of our team and farmers did not go unnoticed. We were deeply honored to be named one of the Top 20 Fastest-Growing Companies in Africa by the Financial Times. A truly proud moment was seeing our CEO, Uka Eje, named to the prestigious TIME100 Climate List for his leadership in climate-smart agriculture. Our scalable model was also featured as a case study by both the London Business School and the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business.
This is Just the Beginning...
