Hike in Food Prices: Say Hello to Alternatives!
Hi farmily...
You probably know that one major area that has been affected by our current economic downturn is food production. What this means is, the decline has caused a hike in food prices, especially for staple foods like ‘rice’, ‘maize’, ‘beans’, ‘wheat’ & ‘yam’ in high demand.
Basically, now's a really good time to be intentionally wise with your food choices. So what should you do? 🤔
Consider alternatives.

There are quite a few to pick from and we mentioned some of them in our latest topical article on 'Finding Alternatives in Nigeria's Food Crisis', for example, instead of consuming yams, you could go with sweet potatoes, and replace your foreign rice with a local version or ofada rice.
