Background

ThriveAgric Limited, a leading agricultural technology company committed to improving farmer livelihoods and enhancing food systems across Nigeria, invites qualified and experienced consulting firms to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Youth and Gender Advocacy Strengthening services.

Through the "Empowering Rural Youth for Resilient Economic Development" project, ThriveAgric is working across Bauchi, Benue, Kaduna, Niger, and Plateau States to provide job opportunities to thousands of unemployed and underemployed young people, with a target of 50% women and 100% youth inclusion.

In the first phase of the project, young people were successfully onboarded and trained to engage in agricultural value chains, particularly in areas of sustainability, market access, and financial inclusion. At this stage of the project, ThriveAgric seeks to strengthen the ability of these youth and women beneficiaries to advocate for themselves, drive change within their communities, and champion inclusive economic development beyond the lifespan of the project.

To achieve this, ThriveAgric is seeking the services of a consultant to design and deliver Youth and Gender Advocacy Strengthening activities that build the skills, networks, and confidence of young people and women within the project to lead local advocacy, influence community practices, and sustain long-term impact.

  2. Community Change-Making:Equip youth and women with tools and platforms to champion inclusive practices within their communities and influence local policies or norms that limit their participation.
  3. Peer-to-Peer Advocacy:Strengthen youth-led and women-led networks across the five states to ensure sustainability of advocacy efforts beyond the project’s duration.
  4. Practical Engagement:Support beneficiaries to design and implement step-down advocacy actions in their communities, fostering grassroots ownership and visibility.
