EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) - DRILLING AND INSTALLATION OF SOLAR-POWERED INDUSTRIAL BOREHOLES
Background
Thrive Agric Limited, an agricultural technology and finance company committed to improving productivity and resilience among smallholder farmers, is implementing the “Strengthening Farmers’ Resilience through Climate-Smart Grain Production and Accessing Structured Markets” project under the AGRA (Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa) framework. As part of the project’s infrastructure development component, Thrive Agric intends to drill and install solar-powered industrial boreholes in selected communities across six Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Niger State: Bosso, Chanchaga, Gbako, Gurara, Lapai, and Paikoro.
Purpose:This Expression of Interest (EOI) invites reputable, experienced, and technically capable drilling and water engineering firms to submit proposals for the drilling, equipping, and commissioning of solar-powered industrial boreholes. The engagement will enhance access to irrigation and potable water for improved agricultural productivity and community resilience.
Scope of Work:
- Geological assessment and site suitability verification
- Borehole drilling (industrial capacity, depth based on geophysical survey)
- Supply and installation of high-capacity solar-powered submersible pumps
- Construction of water storage and distribution infrastructure
- Integration of solar power system (panels, controller, battery backup if needed)
- Testing, commissioning, and training of local operators
- Warranty and after-sales service plan
Eligibility Requirements:Interested vendors must demonstrate the following:
- Evidence of company registration and legal operation in Nigeria
- Proven track record in industrial borehole drilling and solar water systems (minimum 3 similar projects in the last 5 years)
- Technical capacity and skilled manpower
- Evidence of financial capacity and bank reference
- Valid tax clearance certificate
- Compliance with all environmental and social safeguards
- Proposed timeline and work plan for execution
Submission Guidelines:All interested firms should submit:
- A company profile highlighting relevant experience
- Description of methodology, timeline, and technical approach
- List of completed projects (with references)
- CVs of key personnel
- Copy of corporate legal documents and registration certificates
- Financial proposal (optional at this stage, subject to shortlisting)
